Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose Sweet Release?
All our products are made from scratch using our own recipes to give you and your friends a unique Sweet Release experience. If you are dairy free, egg free, nut free vegan, you have the assurance that we are a fully vegan, nut free shop so there is the least risk of contamination compared to other places. Please note that manufacturers cannot guarantee their products and we use ingredients that have "May Contain".

Do you take reservations
No. We're a pretty casual cafe and we have a counter service.
How much does a Sweet Release cake costs?
We charge our bakers time at $30 per hour so the more complicated the cake, the more hours are required to complete.
I need a cake asap. Do you have any in store ready to go?
We always have Hershey inspired chocolate pies and other whole cakes ready to go at the shop for those last minute cake needs. Check out our Facebook or Instagram stories which we update every morning with what's available.
Do you cater for special diets and allergies?
We believe everyone should be able to eat delicious treats. Our products are vegan and nut free by default. All our cake flavours can also be done in gluten free versions.
What is a pay it forward meal?
It's an initiative we have in place to help feed people in need. If you need a free meal, our website shows many are available via the online shop. Call the shop for a collect time and we will arrange that for you with no questions asked. If you would like to purchase a pay it meal voucher for someone else in need, you can purchase them here. It costs $10 and the person in need can purchase any meal they want from the menu.
What is your policy with paying bloggers?
We have a policy of saying no to offers to write about us in exchange for free food.
What is your policy with donating to charities?
We focus our donations to our free baking classes, Wellington Rape Crisis annual appeal and a few animal charities every year. If you would like to discuss your fundraiser with us, feel free to drop us a line.
